The game has received a lot of positive reviews from game critics and won many compliments to the upgrade on the beautiful graphics configuration, many attractive features, novel stories, especially the multi format of the number of characters up to 90 different characters. First released to the world in November 2010, “Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2” has received a lot of attention from the gaming community with many attractive features as well as a completely new storyline. The game was developed by Spike and published by Namco Bandai.
That kind of customization is not a good one in my opinion.Dragon Ball is one of the most popular games in the world for those who are fans of the popular manga. So either put all moves in the character or do different characters. The other side of the coin is that some characters only have 1 extra move, and having just a customized character for 1 more move doesn't seem like a good customization. Thing is, if you try to equip Goku with all the attacks from the saiyan saga, you won't be able to do so because of the limited amount of attacks a character can do. I would prefer either being able to have all the attacks on the character (I don't see the need for all characters to have the exact same number of moves) or having different instances of the same character configured for different sagas. The mechanics to evade blasts is a good addition, cancels are also good to have, and I like how there are different kinds of rushes (throws, normal ones, counter ones, command ones.), BT3 also had different kind of rushes, but the RB games added a few more variations which is good to have.įinally one thing I don't like that probably no one agrees with me is the options for customization. That's not to say everything in RB2 is bad, it has some good points too.
Also, the moveset menus are incomplete and poorly organized compared to BT3. If you select random characters in a team battle using the select button, after the battle, the same characters are selected and you have to unselect them first before using select again. The menus seem lifeless compared to the ones in BT3, and sometimes don't work that well. There are less follow ups in the combos in RB2 compared to BT3, and sometimes the particle effects look worse in RB2 than in BT3 (Kaioken aura is a good example of this). I guess that is like saying the ultimate is way more powerfull, but I prefer being able to struggle agains a Genkidama than not having the option. Some beams don't colide with other beams (specially if there are ultimates involved). There are a few mechanics that really hurt the gameplay like getting rid of the blast stocks which make doing ultimates in RB2 way too easy (you can even do 2 of them one after another). The camera is better than the RB1, but worse than the BT3 one. RB2 on the other hand is slow and clunky.
The gameplay is faster and more fluid, it has better AI, has better content (more modes and more characters), and the graphics, even though they are worse, they look more like the anime thanks to the cell shading.
